( gez ) ዝመጽሐፍ፡ ዘወልደ፡ ጊዮርጊስ፡ ወለብእሲቱ፡ ንጽሐ፡ ድንግል፡ ወለውሉዱ፡ አርከ፡ ሥሉስ፡ አብለ፡ ሥሉስ። ዘሰረቆ፡ ወዘፈሐቆ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ንዋይ፡ ውጕዘ፡ ለይኩን፡ ከመ፡ አርዮስ፡ በስልጣነ፡ ጴጥሮስ፡ ወጳውሎስ፡ ውጕዘ፡ ለይኩን፡
( en ) This book belongs to Walda Giyorgis and his wife is Nǝṣḥa Dǝngǝl and his sons are ʾArkä Śǝllus [and] ʾAblä Śǝllus. He who will steal it or erase (its text) not being in its possession [?] shall be excommunicated like Arius, by the authority of Peter and Paul.

Condition
The boards are broken and repaired with strips of leather. The leather cover is for the most part missing; only the spine cover and the turn-ins remained. The tailband is partly torn off. f. 1 is a loose leaf. Many fols. are worn, stained with wax and water. Some fols. are damaged by rodents. Some fols. are falling apart along the vertical ruling: e.g., fols. 5, 6, 9, 28, 33, 34, 72, 142. Hols and tears amended on e.g., fols.: 11, 22-24, 31, 32, 39, 54, 63, 70, 71, 122, 123, 124.
Binding
Two wooden boards (both broken and repaired) covered with leather (for the most part missing). Two pairs of sewing stations.
Binding decoration
Two pairs of chains of endband stitches at the spine cover. The turn-ins are laced with cords. Small reinforcing strips of parchment inserted under the threads holding the headband, in the middle of the quires: check the viewer38 , 78, 88, 98, 108, 118, 148. Quires I, II, VII and XI are reinforced by parchment guards. A short parchment guard is sewn in the middle of quire I.
