Fol. 60v note of ownership in a different hand, Qäñazmač Mogäs of Gojjam, ዝዳዊት፡ ዘክቡር፡ ወልዑል፡ መፍቀሬ፡ እግዚአብር፡ ርእሰ፡ መኳንንት፡ ቀኛዝማች፡ ሞገስ፡ ዘምድረ፡ ሙላዱ፡ ጐዣም፡ ዘአጥረዮ፡ በንዋዩ፡ ዘሠረቆ፡ ወዘፈሐቆ፡ ርጉም፡ ከመ፡ ዲያብሎስ፡ ያድርገው፡ አሜን፡, “This Dawit belongs to his Excellency, his highness, lover of God, head of princes, Qäazma Mogäs. His ancestry is from Gojjam. It is purchased with his money. Anyone who steals or erases it, may he be cursed like the devil. Amen.”

Much of the problem is addressed through the selection of an appropriate aspect ratio for the codex combined with an appropriate script size.
