-
Overlooked words of text are written interlinearly (folss. iiv(erso), 18v, 46v, 72v, 156v, 167v, ); and overlooked lines of text are written interlinearly (105r, 138r )
Extras
-
The codex arrived with a loose sheet between folss. 16, 17, . The location was clearly wrong since the text of the psalm ran from the bottom of 16v, to the top of 17r, . Another loose folio (30, ) was identified and the gutter join showed itself to match up. 30, is the last folio in a quire, suggesting that the loose sheet should be 21, . The flow of the content made it clear that the correct location of the folio should be after 20 . The loose sheet was accordingly moved to its correct location
-
The general condition of the vellum is very worn, stained and dirty
-
Fols. 10v, has Psalm 15 beginning on line 7 (superscription) and 8. The folio ends with the 11th line of Psalm 15. A full-page illumination is on the next folio, 11r, . The first line on 11v, is not the 12th line of Psalm 15, but the 5th line of Psalm 16. There is a lacuna of about 18 lines, precisely the number of lines that would have been on 11r , which has apparently been painted over
-
The back cover is broken in two places along the grain (about 50 mm and 90 mm from the gutter), leaving three pieces that have been stitched together by drilling three small holes (10 mm, 60 mm and 120 mm from the top) and stitching the boards together. The front board is likewise broken and all but 35 mm of it (the part nearest the gutter) is missing. Pieces of heavy cardboard have been sewn together and then attached to the remaining piece of wood to function as a replacement front cover
-
This scribe regularly has avoided the problem of lines of text too long to fit on one line by adopting an aspect ratio that leaves ample room for the width of most lines. When a line is too long, the scribe places the material above the line (e.g., fols. 5v, 9r, 12r, 14r, 19v, 22r , etc.)
Decoration In this unit there are in total 8 s, 1 .
