The manuscripts belonged to Pierre Séguier , who bequeathed it to Henri-Charles du Cambout de Coislin , after whose death in 1732 it was bequeathed to the library of the Abbaye de Saint-Germain-des-Prés↗ and came to the Bibliothèque nationale de France↗ during the French Revolution 1790-1795
