Origin
1882-1889 Metropolitan Ṗeṭros , who was in charge from 1882, is mentioned on check the viewerfols. 23r, 37v . King Yoḥannǝs , who reigned from 1872 to 1889, is mentioned on check the viewerfol. 24v .
Provenance
The name of Walda Māryām owner is frequently mentioned in the supplication formulas throughout the manuscript. The name is overwritten in a secondary hand over other effaced names. This strongly suggests that at some point he owned the manuscript.

The manuscript displays traces of intensive use; some leaves are stained with dirt (e.g., check the viewerfols. 98v, ). Some leaves have been cut off between check the viewer57, and check the viewer58, . The ink on some leaves is partly faded out, e.g. on check the viewer97v, 101r, . Tears amended on check the viewer2, 92 . Rebound and professionally restored in the Badia of Grottaferrata on 5 November 1977.
