Foundation story
The present church, now in the town of Māy Gābā, was established by fitāwrāri Yǝlmā↗ in the time of Emperor Ḫāyla Śǝllāse↗ , in 1953. Māy Gābā itself was fouded around 1971. But the tābot of tabot: Michael↗ was brought from the church of Bet Mulu↗ , the "castle" of the 18th cent. governor ʾAyānazgi↗ (its remains standing on the hill, not far from Māy Gābā).

history: Gadām, but there are no monks. The church is said to be supervised by the monks from Wāldǝbbā↗ (Beta Minās)
