Origin
Original Location: Qǝddus Mikāʾel Märgaḥǝya / QMM↗
Second half of the 17th century (?). Patriarch of Alexandria Matthew and Metropolitan of Ethiopia Krǝstodolu II mentioned on check the viewer2v-3r might be Matthew IV (in tenure 1660-76) and Krǝstodolu II (in tenure 1664-71), resp. Metropolitan salāma mentioned twice on check the viewer4r is probably salāma II (in tenure 1348/50-88/90), a possible translator of the Coptic baptismal ritual into Gǝʿǝz (s. EAE III, 439). The handwriting of the Ms. doesn't look that old and suggests a later date (at least 18th century?).Contents
