Text I: - Cp. the text in S. GREBAUT, “La prière Sayfa malakot”, Aethiopica 4 (1936), 1-6). Cp. also Ms. JRyM 22, check the viewer31r-40v (StrJRyM 65). Text II: - Cp. “Ǝgziʾabǝḥer za-bǝrhānāt”, EAE II, 249, and ChRep 349, ncheck the viewer363 . - The text is interrupted on check the viewer8v , and continues on check the viewer53r . On check the viewer8v , the text ends with the words: ሀሎ፡ በተፍጻሜቱ፨ “(the writing) is at the end” (written in a frame). The text is introduced on check the viewer53r by the words: ዝኒ፡ ዘተረፈ “This is what remains”. Text III: - Cp. the text in D. LIFCHITZ, Textes éthiopiens magico-religieux, Paris 1940 (Travaux et Mémoires de l’Institut d’Ethnologie 38),92-146. It is the version (incipit: በስመ፡’’… አአትብ፡ ገጽየ፡ ወእትነሣእ፡ በስመ፡ ፫አስማት፡ ነሢእየ፡ እትመረጐዝ፡…) which should not be confused with the text “Prayer for the Rampart of the Cross” (incipit: ጸሎተ፡ በእንተ፡ ሐፁረ፡ መስቀል፡ ዘጸሐፈ፡ ኤርምያስ፡ ነቢይ፡…; cp. S. GREBAUT, “Litanies de la Croix”, Aethiopica 4 (1935), 187-90). Cp. also “Ḥaṣurä masqal”, EAE II, 1045-46. Some supplication formulas are dedicated to an individual for whom the first person, with the word እገሌ “certain”, is used: አነ፡ ገብርከ፡ እገሌ፡ (check the viewer21v ) ሊተ፡ ለገብርከ፡ እገሌ፡ (e.g., check the viewer19v , 23v).
