Concerning the introduction, the contents and the postscript of the Gospels, cp. R. ZUURMOND, Novum Testamentum Aethiopice: the Synoptic Gospels, Part I: General Introduction, Part II: Edition of the Gospel of Mark, Stuttgart 1989 (AeF 27), 1-31; concerning the “Stichometry”, specifically cp. ivi, 25-26. The lists of the “Tituli” for the Gospels of Mark, Luke and John are missing. The list of the “Tituli” for the Gospels of Matthew contains 65 titles whose only the first two ones are numbered by Ethiopic numbers. Each Gospel is introduced by headings which include a blessing (s. in check the viewer10r [ls. 1-2], 42r [ls. 1-3], 62r [ls. 1-3], 96r [ls. 1-4]). The short postscript and the stichometry for the Gospel of Matthew are together separated from the main text by a sequence of nine dot asterisks followed by two chains of red and black dots; two chains of red and black dots separate also the stichometry for the Gospel of John. In fols. 1, 2 and 9, the ruling has not been finished. The check the viewer92 , 93, 99, 102 are in a smaller size.
