Condition
The Ms. is worn and shows traces of intensive use. The back board is damaged by insects. The original binding is for the most part destroyed. The original sewing is only occasionally visible (e.g., check the viewer10r , 19r, 26r, 36r, 39r, 47r). The sewing has been crudely repaired with three different types of recent threads (e.g., close to the head: check the viewer26r-50r ; close to the tail: 9r-25r, 40r-50r). The leaves of the quires are held together with parchment strips. Some fols. are affected by humidity (e.g., check the viewer15r-20r ). f. 1 is of irregular shape. f. 4 is mutilated, the upper margin is cut off. check the viewer180 is mutilated, 2/3 is cut off.

Rubrication: Nomina sacra, name of the protagonist; incipit of Text I (2 red lines: 1 red line alternating with 1 black line) and of some of its sections (e.g. fols. 3vb, 35rb); word salām "salutation" and its abbreviations; elements of the punctuation signs; elements of Ethiopic numerals. The name of the original donor, mentioned in the supplication formulas, has been crudely erased and replaced with that of Gabra Madḫǝn, written in deep magenta (e.g., fols. 8ra, 13rb, 18va, 35rb).
