According to Additio 3 the Ms. was donated by a governor (makʷannǝn ) Walda Gabrǝʾel the grandson of Mikāʾel (Mikāʾel “Sǝḥul”?, ca. 1691-1777) the chief governor of Dabra Dāmmo.

Orient. 778, 20a col. 3 [WrBriMus 235-254, no 348, esp. 253a]). The note is written in Amharic, in a mediocre hand, the same as Additio 2. It is dated to 1864 A.M. (=1871/72 A.D.) when the king was Yoḥannǝs IV (r. 1872-89). Five initial lines contain an instruction on the usage of abbreviations for the units of measure: gʷǝlm, kʷǝrzo and ǝkkul (“half”). It is followed by a list of various ingredients and their quantity. In the end, it mentions four fathers in charge of the monastery administration. -

Fine but irregular; the letters are slender, tall and upright (occasionally right-sloping e.g., check the viewer253vb-c ), but they are written inconsistently in a variety of ways. The script is uneven and irregular throughout the Ms. It is usually neat and careful at the beginning of the quire and then gradually deteriorates. On check the viewer22vb the letters are executed with a thinner nib. On check the viewer100ra-101rb the letters are slightly bigger and written with a broader pen nib.
