According to Additio 2, the Ms. was written in the time of King Takla Giyorgis (r. several periods between 1779-1800) and "prince" (masfǝn) Walda Lǝʿul (d. 1767?).Provenance
The owner/donor Tasfā Ṣǝyon is mentioned in the supplication formulas throughout the Ms., as well as his wife Walatta Mikāʾel and his mother Walatta Libānos. Occasionally their names were erased and replaced with that of Walda Lǝʿul (e.g., check the viewer27ra , 31vb, 33rb, 37ra).

]ንግሥተ፡ ሰማያት፡ ለዓለመ፡ ዓለም፡ አሜን። The note states that the Ms. was written in the time of King Takla Giyorgis (r. several periods between 1779-1800) and Prince Walda Lǝʿul (d. 1767?). The latter also donated land to the church. The note is written in red by the same hand that inserted the name of "prince" (mäsfǝn) Walda Lǝʿul in erasures.

The Ms. is severely worn. Both boards are broken. The front board is repaired with metal rings. The original sewing is missing. Most of the leaves are detached from their counterparts and held together with several stitches through all fols.
