Translation: This Psalter was copied by the command of the Most High (lit. highness of highness) and man of God, Ras Mäkonnen, Ḫāyla Śǝllāse I , prince of Harar and the surrounding region, in 1890 (EC = 1897–8), from the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, in the thirty-third year of the reign of Mǝnilǝk
