Origin
النصف الثاني من القرن التاسع عشر / أوائل القرن العشرين The manuscript can be dated palaeographically to the second half of the nineteenth/early twentieth century (dating on palaeographic grounds) . The quire, probably part of an unfinished book, originates from Eritrea↗ , according to the Arabic description on a paper slip.

The quire shows slight traces of use, small occasional stains (check the viewerfols. 1r, 2r ).
Binding
No binding. Holes in the centre folds of the leaves are made for two pairs of sewing stations. The quire is held together with tackets (twisted strips of parchment) on both sides.
