: ዝመጽሐፈ፡ ቅዳሴ፡ ዘቀነያሁ፡ ወይዘሮ፡ ሐጐሳ፡ ቀለተ፡ ወወይዘሮ፡ ሐጐሳ፡ በ፲፻፱፻፷ወ፯ዓ/ም/ በዘመነ፡ ደርግ፡ በ፪፻ወ፶ብሩር፡ በእደ፡ ጸሐፊሑ፡ መሪጌታ፡ ድራር፡ ዘብሔረ፡ ልጋት፡ ወወሀባሁ፡ ለእንበይቶ፡ ታቦተ፡ ተክለ፡ ሃይማኖት፡ በዕብረተ (sic)፡ ገበዙ፡ ቀሲስ፡ ተኩሉ፡ ዘሠረቆ፡ ወዘፈሐቆ፡ ርጉመ፡ ይኩን፡ ከመ፡ አርዮስ። []: This is a Missal purchased by wayzaro Ḥagʷäsa Qällätä and wayzaro Ḥagʷäsa in 1967 A.M., at the time of Därg, for 250 Bǝrr, (and written) by the hand of märigeta Dǝrar, of the country of Lǝgat. They donated it to ʾƎnbäyto, the tabot of Takla Hāymānot, during the administration of its gabaz, priest Täkulu. He who stole it or erased (its text) shall be cursed like Arius. The colophon dates the writing of the Ms. to the years 1974-75 A.D. This offers a possible explanation for the fact that the name of the Emperor, mentioned in supplication formulas in the initial parts of the text, is no longer mentioned in the portions written later.
