Period of Activity
He was an outstanding scholar in the field of Ethiopian Studies. He graduated from Naples↗ University with his major in law. At the same time, he attended lectures in Ethio-Semitic languages as well as in Arabic and Islamic disciplines at the Regio instituto Orientale. He served the Italian government in various positions. He carried out his scientific work in parallel to his official appointments. Founded uoin his knowledge and practice of language, his research achieved paramount results in the filed of Oriental and African studies, apart from his noteworthy contributions in the filed of Western human sciences. His works are seminal and cover vast range of topics of Ethiopian Studies.
Death
He died at Rome↗ in 1988.
