Period of Activity
He was the governor of Goǧǧām↗ from 1751 to 1759. His early life history is obscure, but he descended from ʾAmhārā↗ , Oromo↗ and Gāfāt↗ . Yosedeq Walda ʾAbib↗ was in hostile relation with ʾIyāsu II↗ after he demoted his father Walda ʾAbib↗ in 1749, but later he made peaceful relation through marriage alliance with the king, marrying the half-sister of ʾIyāsu II↗ , Walatta ʾƎsrāʾel↗ and daughter of Bǝrhan Mogasā↗ . Then, he was appointed as the governor of Goǧǧām↗ in 1751.
