The text of the Vita has some characteristics of the so-called "Ḥayq recension" of Gadla Takla Hāymānot. Cp. Mss. EMML 1834 (EMML V, 310-14); BN, Éth. 342 (GrébGriaule II, 18-20), Ṭānāsee 162 (SixTana III, 202-06). For a (rough) French translation of the text s. J. DUCHESNE-FOURNET, Mission en Éthiopie, 1901-1903, vol. 1, Paris 1908,340-431. In this case, the text was possibly copied fromMR-036. The genealogy of Ṣaggā Za-ʾAb, father of St Takla Hāymānot, is left unfinished check the viewer11ra- rb), with remaining part of check the viewer11rb and check the viewer11v blank. The Miracles are part of the cycle connected with the translation of the relics of St Takla Hāymānot.
