( gez ) ዛቲ፡ መጽሐፍ፡ ዘወልደ፡ ኪዳን፡ በዘጠኝ፡ ብር፡ ር፡ ከኍለት፡ ሻማ፡ ተሣይጦ፡ ወሀቦ፡ ለመቅደሰ፡ ጰራቅሊጦስ፡ ከመ፡ ይኵኖ፡ መርሃ፡ ውስተ፡ መንግሥተ፡ ሰማያት፡ ሐዳስ፨ ወከመ፡ ያንብሮ፡ ምስለ፡ አቡሁ፡ ተወልደ፡ መድኅን፡ ወእሙ፡ ሰበነ፡ ጊዮርጊስ፡ ወብእሲቱ፡ አስካለ፡ ማርያም፡ ወልዱ፡ ወልደ፡ ማርያም፡ ገብረ፡ ኢየሱስ፡ ተክለ፡ ሊባኖስ፡ ገብረ፡ ጊዮርጊስ፡ ወለተ፡ ሊባኖስ፡ ወለተ፡ ኪሮስ፡ ምስለ፡ ሕሩያን፡ ጻድቃን፡ ልበሳነ፡ ግርማ፡ ወሞገስ፨ ያድኅኖ፡ ያድኅኖ፡ ያድኅኖ፡ ብላቹኽ፡ በጊዜ፡ ጸሎት፡ ወቅዳሴ። ፩፩አቡነ፡ ዘበሰማያት፡ እየ፡ ደገማቹኽ፡ አትርሱኝ፡ አንትሙ፡ ካህናት፡ ወዲያቆናት። This is a book of Walda Kidān, he bought (it) for nine Bǝrr and two šämmas and donated to the sanctuary of Ṗarāqliṭos, so that it might be for him a guide to the new Kingdom of Heaven, and so that He might place him together with his father Tawalda Madḫǝn, and his mother Säbänä Giyorgis and his wife ʾAskāla Māryām, and his son Walda Māryām, Gabra ʾIyasus, Takla Libānos, Gabra Giyorgis, Walatta Libānos, Walatta Kiros, together with the select righteous who are clad in glory and grace. Saying: “May He save him, may He save him, may He save him!”, do not forget me, reciting, each of you, the Paternoster at the time of prayer and liturgy, oh you priests and deacons.
