Written in Gǝʿǝz, with admixture of Amharic words. Very crudely written, but containing rubricated elements. The text aims at preventing wild beasts from inflicting damage to the property of a certain Walda Śǝllāse (possibly identical with one of the persons mentioned in the supplication formulas. -

Crudely written. The donor’s name has been partially erased. -

May it be for him the salvation of soul and body. He who steals it or erases (its text) shall be excommunicated. The owner’s name has been erased and replaced with another name written in red ink, which has later also been erased and replaced with the name of Walatta Masqal (possibly a later owner of the Ms.). The words ለገብርከ፡ ገብረ፡ ድንግል፡ “to Your servant Gabra Dǝngǝl”, of unclear connection with the text of the note, are added to the right.
