( gez ) ዛቲ፡ መጽሐፍ፡ ዘዓዲ፡ ቆልቋል፡ ዘተሣየጥዋ፡ በ፲ወ፰፡ ብሩር፡ ዘቅዱስ፡ ጊዮርጊስ፡ ውእቱ፡ በዘመነ፡ ቄስ፡ አበለዲስ፡ ወጨቃውን[sic]፡ ብላታ፡ ሸቊላብ፡ በዘመነ፡ ንጉሥነ፡ ዮሐንስ፡ ሹመ፡ ነጋሪቱን፡ ትግሬ፡ መኰኒ፡ ደረስ። ወታቦትኒ፡ ኻለኛ፡ በዘመነ፡ አቡነ፡ አትናቴዎስ፡ ተባረከ፡ ወገበዙኒ፡ ቄስ፡ ወልደ፡ ክርስቶስ፡ ዋጋው፡ [፭]። ብር፡ ነው፡ በይእቲ፡ ዕለት፡ ዘተገብረ፡ ሲሳይ፡ ዘቄስ፡ ወልደ፡ ክርስቶስ፡ ጭቃውን፡ ብላታ፡ ሙሴ፡ ነበሩ፡ ዘሠረቃ፡ ወዘፈሐቋ[sic]፡ በቃለ፡ ጴጥሮስ፡ ወጳውሎስ፡ ውጉዘ፡ ለይኩን።
( en ) This is the book of ʿĀddi Qolqʷal which they bought for 18 silver (Thalers?), of (the church of) St George, in the time of the priest ʾAbaladis, while č̣ǝqā was blāttā Saqʷǝlāb, in the time of King Yoḥannǝs, the governor of his drum being up to Tǝgrāy, Mahwanni. And the second (?) tabot was consecrated in the time of ʾabuna ʾAtnātewos, and gabaz was priest Walda Krǝstos. Its price was 5 Bǝrr. The meal prepared on this day is of priest Walda Krǝstos, while č̣ǝqā was blāttā Muse. THe one who stole is erased (its text) will be excommunicated by the word of Peter and Paul.
Written in a mixture of Gǝʿǝz and Amharic. The first mention of the name of the priest Walda Krǝstos has been deleted, only the last letters are readable. -
