Incipit ( ):

The text differs significantly from the published versions (e.g. Ḥaddis Kidān, Addis Abäba 1975 A.M. [1982 A.D.]) in terms of language. This applies also for the spelling of names (persons and places, e.g., check the viewer20ra ls.10-11: ሕርማ, ጲጥራ, አርማ instead of ሄርሜን, ጳጥሮባን, ሄርማን [Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas, Rom. 16:14], check the viewer61va l.11: አጥራዎስ instead of ጢሮአዳ [Troas, 2 Cor. 2:12], check the viewer107vb l.17: አርኪሮስ instead of አክርጳ [Archippus, Col. 4:17], check the viewer109rb l.15: ዓረቢያ instead of ዐረብ [Arabia, Gal 4:25], check the viewer126va l.4: ኤጳፍራ instead of ኤጳፍራስ [Epaphras, Phlm. 23], check the viewer126va l.7: ዳማ instead of ዴማስ [Demas, Phlm. 24], check the viewer127ra l.2: ሐርማጋንስ instead of ኤርዋጌኔስ [Hermogenes, 2 Tim. 1:15], check the viewer137ra l.3,6: አርጣማ, ኒቆጶሎስ instead of አርጢሞን, ናቆጵል [Artemas, Nicopolis, Tit. 3:12], check the viewer150ra l.4: ፍርሲቆስ instead of ቀርስጶስ [Crispus, 1 Cor 1:14], check the viewer150ra l.8: እስጢፋና instead of እስጢፋኖስ [Stephanas, 1 Cor 1:16]). In the Ms. Text IX is referred to as "Malʾǝkta qadāmit ḫaba säbʾa Täsälonqe" instead of "Malʾǝkta Ṗāwlos dāgǝmāwi ḫaba säbʾa Täsälonqe"; Text XI as "Malʾǝkta Ṗāwlos qadāmit ḫaba Ṭimotewos" instead of "Malʾǝkta Ṗāwlos dāgǝmāwi ḫaba Ṭimotewos".
