A letter of ʾǝč̣č̣age role: office Tewoflos concerning the “Orthodox faith”, in Amharic, written probably in his own hand some time between 1872 and his deposition in 1889. The letter is addressed to the churches of Tämben↗ , it contains a summary of the arguments of the hulatt lǝdat doctrine (kārrā). It mentions Gabra Wald , obviously the owner of the manuscript, as the person who was supposed to fetch the missive.

Ink: Black (brownish); red.
Rubrication: A lot of rubricated words, in the main hand; rubrication is executed in the main hand, probably after the copying of the main text (in some cases one can see that the space left for rubricated word was not enough).
Somewhat hasty and irregular; by a mediocre scribe. Slightly right-sloping script, downstrokes mostly parallel, the tops of the letters slightly inclined to the left. Slender, rounded letter shapes show some tendency to cursive. ጵ has the standard modern shape (check the viewerfols. 9va, ), the top of ጥ is nearly plain in some cases only (cp. check the viewer10rb, against check the viewer36rb, 49rb ), the 6th order-marker of ግ is emphasized, set up on the extended line, the left leg of ለ is leant upon the right leg.Codicological Unit p2
