Origin
Original Location: Dabra Sāhl Qǝddus Mikāʾel Bet Maḵāʿ↗
Ca. 1660 (?). The colophon indicates that the Ms. was completed on the year of mercy 7152 (=1660 A.D.) which falls upon the time of King Fāsiladas (r. 1632-67). It mentions the 28th year of reign of a king was is “Dāgǝmāwi Qʷasṭanṭinos” ("the second Constantine"). King Fāsiladas’ regnal name was ʿālam Sagad; Both hand a and hand b seem to be of a later time.Provenance
The name of a possible donor, Maḫtama Krǝstos, is inserted between the punctuation signs on check the viewer153vb .

Translation English: By the glory of God, the faith of the righteous fathers was written during the reign of our king lover of God [vac] who was named by the grace of baptism, according to witnesses, ... by the help of St ... and by the care of poor .... It was completed on the 28th year from the time he became king, during the year of John the evangelist. At that time the year of mercy was 7152. Moreover the creator of the world may prolong the age of our king Constantine II, who renewed the oldness of the world with the Orthodox faith. May He protect him like the pupil.
Given and baptismal names of the king, and other names are skipped in the colophon.

The upper part of the Ms. esp. around the inner margins, is badly damaged by water (with the loss of text on many fols.). The untooled leather cover was added later.
