Origin
Original Location: Dabra Dāmmo ʾAbuna ʾAragāwi↗
Second half of the 17th century (?). The embedded colophon of Text I (check the viewer173va ) provides an earlier date, but it was corrected: original dates were erased, other dates referring to the end of the 17th century were included, but the do not coincide. One of them refers to the second year of the reign of King ʾIyasu (ʾIyasu I, r. 1682-1706?).Provenance
The book belonged to ʾabeto ʾAbeselom, but was donated to Dabra Dāmmo by his mother ʾƎlleni whose baptismal name was Walatta Qāl (s. Additio 1).

The note mentions the name of the donor, ʾƎlleni “also called Walatta Qāl” (probably her baptismal name) who was the mother of prince (ʾabeto) ʾAbeselom and the wife of Nǝwāya Māryām. The note tells that the donation was made upon the advice of ʾabuna Walda ʾAbiyä ʾƎgziʾ, probably a monk from the monastery (also mentioned in Mss. DD-005 and DD-035). The note mentions also that the donation was permitted by a certain daǧǧāzmāč Bǝrru. -
: Record concerning reconciliation between Christians and Muslims.
Text in Amharic
In Amharic, by another hand. The note was written during the time of King Mǝnilǝk II (r. 1889-1913) and the tenure of the abbot Kidänä Māryām.
