It states that the Ms. was donated to the church (tabot) of ʾabuna Yasay Dǝrba by daǧǧāzmāč Gugsa, whose baptismal name is Walda Māryām. Beside him some of his relatives are mentioned: his father Gabra Ṣādǝq, his grandfather (the father of his father) Walda Śǝllāse. The name of his mother is missing. Again, the note states that daǧǧāzmāč Gugsa, who came originally from ʾAgʷǝʾdi, a place called Hangʷäda, commissioned the writing of the Ms. in the year of mercy 1903 in time of Mark the Evangelist (= 1910 A.D.; cp. ChChron 172), while he was in the region of Šäwa; from there he sent the Ms. to Hangʷäda and after he died his children sent it to Dǝrba. Some lines at the beginning of the note are erased.
