According to Additio 1, the Ms. was donated to the church by fitawrari Ḫaylu and ? Ṭǝru. The following persons are mentioned in supplication formulas of Text I-1a (hand a): Ḫāyla Māryām, Walatta ʾƎwosṭatewos, Walatta Mǝḥrat. These names together with the name of Walatta Masqal were inserted into supplication formulas throughout all other texts, in a secondary hand (probably the same as Additio) in rose ink.

The handwriting appears a bit uneven with narrow formed, irregularly slanted and broadly spaced letters; some letters have forked hook vowel markers (esp. ን, ጋ). The handwriting is very similar (possibly identical) to that of Ms. BQM-009.
