The book was written during the time of Metropolitan Qerǝllos [Qirǝllos] (in tenure 1816-28), and daǧǧāzmāč Sabāgādis [Sabʾā Gādis] , governor of Tǝgrāy↗ from 1822 to 1831 (here called nǝguś), and qes gabaz Kǝfla Giyorgis of Qǝddus Giyorgis ʿĀddi Qolqʷāl [Qʷelqʷal]↗ church (also mentioned in the supplication formulas throughout the text).
