ዝመጽፍ[sic]፡ አስልጥ፡ ዘ፯ቱ፡ ዕለት፡ ዘአባ፡ ተክለ፡ ሃይማኖት፡ ወአቡሁ፡ ገብረ፡ ዮሐንስ፡ ወአሙ፡ ወለተ፡ ብርሃን፡ ዘአጥረያ፡ ንዋዩ[sic]፡ ከመ፡ ይኩኖ፡ መርሃ፡ ለመንግሥተ፡ ሰማያት፡ በ፲ወ፱፻፸ወ፪ቱ፡ ዓመተ፡ ምሕረት፡ በዘመነ፡ ዮሐንስ፡ ወንጌላዊ፡ ተጽሐፈ።
The colophon mentions that the Ms. is in the possession of (but appareantly meaning: commissioned by) Takla Hāymānot, was written in 1972 A.M. (= 1979-80 A.D.).
