The note was written in Italian in the mid-16th century. It states that Leonardo Fioravanti was living near Castel Nuovo in Naples, and that he healed the one who wrote the note, a certain Giovanni Jacobo Matera . -

The note was written by a certain Yoḥannǝs (perhaps Yoḥannǝs ). It contains magical names to protect him along the way. The same prayer is also contained in Vatican City, Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana, Aeth. 45, Protective Prayer a1. The word( gez ) ፌርቤዮ፡
, i.e. "february", is written in the lower margin of the same leaf.
